AFC Hornchurch 6 Harrow Borough 4 Monday 4th May
The Urchins retained the President's Challenge Cup by the narrowest of margins following a thrilling game at Bridge Avenue this afternoon. At the full-time whistle the score was level at 1-1. No extra time was played and the fans were treated to a nail-biting penalty shootout. When the Boro' failed to convert their second penalty kick this gave the Urchins the advantage. All Urchin penalty takers hit the net and it was left to James Stuart-Evans to convert the final kick to keep the Cup at Bridge Avenue.

Sutton United 2 AFC Hornchurch 1 Saturday 25th April
The Urchins narrowly missed out on claiming a play-off place despite another brave team effort against a very determined Sutton. After finishing just two points away from a top five slot the Urchins will rue the home defeats by four of the botton eight teams which undoubtedly cost them dear. Colin and the lads still did us proud this season performing superbly with very limited resources. Whilst missing out on the play-offs is disappointing the fans will remember the glory of the F.A. Cup win away to Weymouth and the shock we gave Peterborough United by taking them to within seconds from a replay. Well done lads - you are all heroes!

AFC Hornchurch 3 Horsham 0 Saturday 18th April
The Mighty Urchins powered to their third home win in six days to move into fourth place and set up a thrilling showdown next Saturday at Sutton. Today's very entertaining game was marred by Kris Lee being stretchered off with an ankle injury in the 34th minute. Three teams are now battling for two play-off places. Carshalton are away to Hendon whilst the Urchins travel to Sutton. It really is too close to call.

AFC Hornchurch 3 Harlow Town 1 Monday 13th April
The Urchins avenged their Yuletide defeat at Barrows Farm by hitting three past a very determined Harlow Town. The Hawks battled hard for the points which would ease their relegation fears but it was an equally determined Urchins who took all three. A win in this coming Thursday evening's home game versus Harrow Borough would lift us into fifth place and into a play-off position.

Staines Town 2 AFC Hornchurch 2 Friday 10th April
The footballing gods conspired to rob the battling Urchins of a well fought victory at Wheatsheaf Park this afternoon. After going behind in the 18th minute Dean Green hit the net twice to give the Urchins the lead - a lead which they held until the 91st minute. Then with seconds to go the Swans grabbed a dramatic equaliser. We have little time to ponder what might have been as we move on to Monday's home game versus our nemesis, Harlow Town.

AFC Hornchurch 1 Hastings United 2 Saturday 4th April
The Urchins play-off challenge faltered as they were unable to replicate their superb away form here at Bridge Avenue this afternoon. They could have put the game out of reach of their visitors had they taken a few of the hatful of excellent goal scoring chances they created in the first half - but it was not to be. All credit to Hastings who showed dogged determination in the second period and went home with all three points. We now move on to a tricky away fixture versus Staines Town on Good Friday.

Hendon 1 AFC Hornchurch 2 Sunday 29th March
The Urchins recorded their third away win this month to climb back into 6th place and move within touching distance of a play off place. A positive result on Tuesday versus Maidstone United, the last of seven away fixtures in March, could see the lads climb to 4th but this will depend on the results of other games that night. Nevertheless, with our game in hand, we look strong for a play-off spot.

The Urchins play-off aspirations received a dent when they were caught napping in the second minute of the game. Ryan Ashe headed the hosts in front after just 84 seconds of play. Although the lads pressed hard Wealdstone's early strike proved to be enough to take all three points. We now move on to our SUNDAY game versus Hendon - which will be played at Wembley FC.

It was carnival time this afternoon as the wind of change blew around Bridge Avenue ushering in a new era for the Urchins. The team rose to the occasion - cheered on by our largest League crowd of the season - and served up some superb football. A goal in each half was enough to secure all three points and the team left the field to a standing ovation. Carshalton Athletic 2 AFC Hornchurch 2 Tuesday 10th March
The Urchins continued their March roadshow with a superb fightback against play-off contenders Carshalton. The Robins hit the Urchins hard in the first half with two goals in a minute. However, not for the first time, the lads did not drop their heads but dug deep to earn a valuable point - and could so easily have taken all three. Great stuff lads! Now its off to Boreham Wood this Saturday.

The Urchins dug deep and held their nerve in this very physical and eventful game which saw three players dismissed from the field of play. Billericay Town 1 AFC Hornchurch 0 Tuesday 10th February
A 28th minute goal from 'Ricay's Bradley Woods-Garness was enough to end the Urchins involvement in this season's Isthmian League Cup. Both teams found the playing surface difficult but great credit must go to the groundsman whose hard work enabled the game to be played. Good luck to Billericay in the next round.

Billericay Town 1 AFC Hornchurch 0 Saturday 24th January
A totally bizarre goal left the Urchins pointless at today's RPL encounter at New Lodge. It was a game which could so easily have yielded three points but fate dealt a cruel blow in the 85th minute and an unbelieveable deflection robbed Hornchurch of at least a point.

The Urchins continued their climb up the League table with a very professional performance against a robust Tooting and Mitcham side. But for the superb display by the visitors 'keeper the scoreline could have been far less flattering for the Terrors. In a game where the Urchins were always in control it was left to Ross Wall to break the deadlock in the 76th minute.

AFC Hornchurch 0 Peterborough United 1 Sunday 9th November
After holding First Division Peterborough for a full 90 minutes and looking forward to the replay a 91st minute Craig Mackail-Smith goal broke our hearts but not our spirit. The team did us proud today and the Posh know they were in a game. Ironically, a win today could have seen us battling Tranmere Rovers in the next round but it is not to be. We lived the dream, enjoyed every minute of it and will be back again next year with even more resolve and determination. Well done Urchin lionhearts - you are all heroes and good luck to the Posh in the next round. Your fans behaved impecably today and are great ambassadors for your club.

Weymouth 1 AFC Hornchurch 2 Saturday 25th October
There are no superlatives to describe today's incredible team performance! 'Total commitment' doesn't even come close. The lads played out of their skins and there didn't seem to be two league places between the teams never mind two Divisions. The travelling Urchin Army were treated to a day they will never forget and Simon's last minute winner was the stuff of legends and will surely go down in Urchin folklore. We are still 'living the dream'! See the First Round Cup Draw on ITV at 1pm on Sunday afternoon.
