HORNCHURCH 1 HARROW BOROUGH 1
Harrow got off to a good start, when Constant crossed from the right and Mitchell Stuart-Evans headed out for a corner. Constant sent the ball over and James Stuart-Evans cleared. Hornchurch, kicking towards the windmill end, had difficulty coping with the swirling wind, although a long throw from Billy Coyne saw Frankie Curley glance the ball wide, and a similar throw shortly afterwards had the same result. Harrow had the better of the play and almost scored when Frempong’s shot was cleared off the line for a corner. Constant’s kick was cleared but two more corners quickly followed, and then Constant sent over a fourth corner in as many minutes which O’Keefe cleared. Hornchurch had their best chance when Nicky Driver found Wall, whose flick was tipped over the bar by McCabe, who then caught Jake Dallison’s dipping corner kick. Harrow took the lead when CHARLES BALL hammered in a shot from the left side of the penalty area, and shortly afterwards a Constant corner was headed away. Hornchurch almost levelled on half time when Curley’s shot from Coyne’s long throw was touched over for a corner. Dallison picked out Curley with the kick but the header went wide. Hornchurch nearly levelled in the first minute of the second half, when Jon Green worked his way through and McCabe saved with his legs to prevent what looked a certain goal. McCabe then saved from O’Keefe as Urchins stepped up the pace, and two Dallison corners were cleared in succession. Constant brought a good catch out of Michael Bowditch with another inswinging corner, and from Michael’s long kick upfield, Ross Wall beat three players and then saw his goalbound shot well saved by McCabe. Hornchurch drew level when JON GREEN finished off a good build up with an excellent run and shot. Green then played a good pass through to Wall, and McCabe saved well. A Dallison cross found Driver whose header brought he save of the match from McCabe, who then caught Dallison’s corner. Dallison to Curley whose shot was tipped around the post and from Dallison’s corner James Stuart-Evans went close, his shot skimming the bar. Another Dallison corner was saved and in stoppage time Bowditch turned a Constant shot around the post and then punched away Constant’s corner. No extra time and straight on to penalties, taken at the restaurant end of the ground. Hornchurch went first H - Ross Wall – high and to the left – 1-0 HB - Jonathan Constant – straight down the middle – 1-1 H – Bily Coyne – low and to the left – 2-1 HB – Daryl Campbell-Grimshaw – to the left, and well wide of the goal H – Frankie Curley – goalkeeper got a touch, but it went in to the left – 3-1 HB - Charles Ball – straight down the middle – 3-2 H – Jon Green – low and to the left – 4-2 HB – Kwasi Frempong – high and to the left – goalkeeper got a touch – 4-3 H – James Stuart-Evans – down the middle – 5-3 |
