Ah, here's our Jennie, hard at work in the office. A tremendous amount of behind the scenes work goes on to ensure match days run smoothly. What we see is really the tip of the iceberg. Now who is Jennie calling?
Right, here we go with our tour. There is quite a lot to see so please keep together in one group and if anyone has a question please don't be afraid to ask it.
Here's the kit room where all home and away kits are stored.
Everything is kept neat and tidy.
Here's the Treatment Room. Unfortunatley the door is locked so we can't take a peek inside. Maybe we'll have a look next time?
Ah, here is the home changing room. You can see all the kit is set out ready for the players. Colin will come here to give his pre-match talk to the team.
Here's Dave. He is responsible for putting out all the kit and making sure everything is in place for the players on match days.
The famous red and white of The Urchins. Here is where our heroes prepare themselves to do battle.
Our lads wear their shirts with pride and win, lose or draw always give 100% for the Urchin cause.
Now we are back in the main corridor. Let's have a quick look at the showers.
Ah, here's another kit store - kept neat and tidy by Dave. The showers are straight on.
Please take notice of the sign ! Leave your boots and balls outside please.
Here's where all the singing and celebrations took place after every one of our many home victories last season. Wonder who is the best singer?
Here is the Security Room. This is a very important place on match days. Our security team monitor video cameras to ensure the safety of all our spectators.
The Urchins Bar is locked but we can have a little look around in the club shop.
So here is the club shop where you can buy all things Urchin.
You will find a vast array of merchandise including replica shirts, hats, scarves and even Urchin DVD's. |
The Urchin shop is well worth a visit on match days. A selection of the most popular items will soon appear on the website so watch this space.
A key factor in the "on the field" success of The Urchins has to be fitness. Here is our prized gym and physio centre where our stars maintain peek condition.
The gym is well equipped with modern training equipment.
Regular gym sessions ensure our team are ready and raring to go come Saturday afternoon.
Here we have yet another jewel in the Urchin crown. This is our famous Clubhouse which is the envy of many a club.
This splendid bar is where the famous "Urchinettes" do all their fine work. This is also where our many trophys can be viewed.
Room for several hundred people and large screen plasma TV's tuned to the sports channels ensure that many fans visit here after the game. It is a good place to chat with away supporters and enjoy the camararderie which exisit in Non League football. Colin and the team usually pop in after the game too.
If you fancy a meal there is always the restaurant. Meals are served regularly on match days and the restaurant can be booked for private functions.
The restaurant also has a fine view of the pitch
Just before we finish we can go back outside and take a look at the famous Eastside stand. This is where the majority of the noise comes from on match days. The Urchin Choir are usually in very good voice.
Here is the Directors Enclosure where all the VIP's sit during the game.
And now we see the hallowed turf in all its glory. There will be many fine matches played out on our emerald carpet during this coming season as we entertain powerful teams from the Ryman Premier and possibly the Football League.
If success is measured by the number of trophies won by the team then The Urchins are very successful indeed. Here is last season's haul.
We hope you have enjoyed this whistle stop tour of The Bridge. Why not promise yourself a visit soon? Once you do, you will surely be hooked. The Urchin Army is awakening from its Close Season slumber and will be on the march again soon.
