Sawbridgeworth went ahead after sixteen minutes with a nice shot from the edge of the box, into the top of the net. At that point Urchins lost centre half Sam Burton with a back injury. Luke Dickens replaced Sam and did a great job in his position. Ghani Ashley moved in to full back and looked very bright with some good runs down the right. Sawbrigeworth went into the break one up.
Within four minutes into the second half, Billy Pearce beat three players on the edge of the box and with a great decoy, sent the keeper the wrong way, bending it into the bottom left hand corner.
In the 25th minute Sawbridgeworth had a corner, unfortunately our defence seem to go to sleep only to let their centre back score. With Hornchurch now applying the pressure, in the 85th minute Aiden Bailey got into the box, only to be brought down by the keeper. He should have been sent off but remained on the pitch, but he was then beaten by a great penalty from Joe Scott, straight down the middle of the goal. On the 90th minute, Frankie Williams broke away on the right to put a great pass across the front of the goal to find Billy Pearce, who took a great touch, and then to calmly put the ball into the corner, for the winner! It was a brilliant smash and grab for the Reserves!
