Having not played a game since November 16th we was glad that this game was to be played on 3g as it mean't the game would defiantly be played......... oh so we thought!!
Tower Hamlets started the quicker and asked us some questions early on and was no surprise when they took the lead after 7mins, but we came back strong and Matt Bentley leveled soon after direct from a free kick and
Daniel Boyce put us infront soon after holding off the defender before smashing home.
A third came on the half hour mark when a superb through ball from Matt Bentley sent
Danny Willson through and he confidently chipped the keeper.
Tower Hamlets were creating chances of their own and pulled a goal back with a superb strike from outside the area.
The 2nd Half started and we were looking strong
Daniel Boyce was put through and after getting past the keeper he got his shot of as the defender looked set to clear to make it 4-2.
Almost straight from kick off we broke again and as the cross came in the Tower Hamlets keeper came and won the ball but as he landed
he injured his back and lay motionless.
The referee called a halt to the game as the keeper received attention but it had become obvious that the keeper wasn't going to recover and after a 30 minute stoppage the ref abandoned the game.
The Keeper remained motionless for 50 mins before the paramedics arrived but thankfully after extensive treatment it appeared the keeper had suffered a mussle spasm and was able to go home.
The abandonment not only means we have a fixture pile up in the new year it means
Joe Shannahan who was sent off earlier in November is still waiting to start his suspension.
