Congratulations to the Academy side who progressed in the FA Youth Cup last night after a well earned victory over Brentwood Town.  Despite creating a number of first half chances the Urchins were unable to break the deadlock so the teams went in at half-time 0-0.

The nerves were settled early in the second half as Charlie Arnold opened the scoring with a wonderful freekick.  Armando Quitirna doubled the lead on 55 minutes (Armando’s 3rd goal of the tournament) before Sean Giordmaina added a third.  Brentwood Town pulled one back to make the final score 3-1 and see the Urchins into the hat for Friday’s 2nd Qualifying Round draw.
