Congratulations to Alex Bentley who made his 200th appearance for the club in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Bury Town.

Alex played for Dagenham & Redbridge and Cray Wanderers prior to signing for the Urchins in readiness for the Conference North campaign of 2012/13.  He made his debut in the 2-1 away defeat at Salisbury City.  Alex then moved to Bromley but was only there for their 2013/14 pre-season before returning to Bridge Avenue where he has been a key member of the Urchins’ defence ever since.

In May of this year Alex was also selected for Middlesex Wanderers, a team composed of top players across the non-league spectrum.  The world famous Wanderers, a semi professional touring side, headed to France this year, and Alex was one of 4 Ryman (now Bostik) league players to be selected to play.  An honour for Alex and for AFC Hornchurch.

Well done Alex.
