The Urchins host Heybridge Swifts on Saturday looking to extend their recent unbeaten run in the Ryman league.

Last time out the Urchins went to East Thurrock Utd in the Essex Senior Cup and bowed out of that competition following a 3-0 reverse.  Prior to that their form had been good having won 3 and drawn 2 of the previous 5 games.  In front of goal the Urchins are not firing though having failed to score for 270 minutes – their last goal being the 90th minute penalty from Leon McKenzie against Enfield Town.  They’ll be hoping to put that right against Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.  The Urchins sit 9th in the table having dropped a place in midweek following Thurrock’s 4-0 demolition of Phoenix Sports.

Heybridge Swifts are struggling this season and currently occupy 22nd position in the table.  They have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 4 of their last 6 but can take heart from a 5-0 win against Great Wakering Rovers and a 2-2 draw against high flying Brightlingsea Regent.  Last time out however they were comfortably beaten 5-0 by Thurrock.
