A good start for new manager Tony Choules as we came away from York Road with a well earned point, although once again we could easily have come away with a win.

Micky Desborough was the first keeper to be called into serious action when he had to react quickly in the second minute to swipe away a clearance which rebounded powerfully off a home forward. Home keeper Ademole Bankole saved at the post from a Terry Bowes volley after 6  minutes and a minute later he spooned an 18 yard free kick from Danny Shipp wide of the post.Andy Douglas found the net for us after Bankole parried away a Terry Bowes effort in the 22nd minute only for it to be ruled out for offside and Richard O'Connor flicked a header just wide on 35 minutes, but it was the home side who took the lead 8 minutes before the break when Peter Adeniyi made a surging run from midfield and sent a diagonal ball to Jamie Cook who struck home from 18 yards.

We were awarded a penalty mid-way through the second half when Lee Kersey was found guilty of pulling Martin Vhhovski's shirt in the area and Danny Shipp converted to equalise. Desborough kept the scores level 5 minutes later tipping over a good effort from Bryan Smith but we were behind again in the 82nd minute, Dean Clark side-footing home a low cross after Desborough had initially parried away Clarks initial shot. Maidenhead's celebrations, and hopes for a valuable home win, were cut short just two minutes later when Andy Douglas prodded the ball home from 6 yards from a Vrhovski cross.
