Match Report to follow....

A below par first half preceded a much better second half performance but by that time we were two goals and one man down.

Eastbourne took the lead after 11 minutes when a Danny Simmonds free kick was nodded home from close range by Loui Fazackerley.  Micky Desborough parried a shot from Matt Crabb a minute later but only into the path of  Ben Austin who thankfully shot wide.  The busy Desborough saved well from a Crabb long range shot on 19 minutes and repeated the feat 3 minutes later this time from Fazackerley.  A point blank save followed 8 minutes before the break, this time from Scott Ramsay, but as we looked to have weathered a storm, Ian Cousins pulled back Fazackerley in the area and a penalty was awarded. Cousins was harshly sent off and Ramsay converted.

A much improved second half start saw us pull a goal back within 3 minutes, new signing Graeme Carrick slotting the ball coolly past Hook after a free kick was headed on to the far post by Jamie Southon.  Eastbourne, though, restored their margin on 62 minutes when break from defence led to a diagonal ball from Ramsay for Ollie Rowland who centred to the unmarked Crabb who made no mistake.  Hook made a terrific save from Carrick on 67 minutes, but he could only watch as a Danny Shipp free kick whistled past him on 72 minutes to bring us back into the game. A Jamie Southon header went narrowly wide with 15 minutes left and two minutes later a Ramsay cross bounced off the top of Desborough's crossbar.  Eastbourne, though, made the points safe in stoppage time when he headed home at the far post from a corner.
