A record win and a second hat-trick of the season for Wayne Purser as we eased through to the final qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Purser opened the scoring in familiar fashion after only 5 minutes after chesting down a precise cross in from Jamie Stuart and slotting past keeper Paul Seuke, and well done to referee Blackledge for allowing play to continue after John Martin was brought down by a late challenge from David Moore in the build up to the goal. A yellow card was duly presented to Moore whilst our players celebrated.  We went further ahead in the 18th minute when John Wilfort misjudged a forward ball from John Martin and managed to head into his own area perfectly into the path of Purser who accepted the opportunity to slide the ball past Seuke.   A Danny Shipp header from a Purser cross a few minutes later was well tipped over by Seuke after it took a deflection off a defender but we made it 3-0 on 27 minutes when Simon Weatherstone drilled home from 20 yards - a goal much deserved for a player who has come so close to scoring on many occasions since joining the club last month.

Dulwich suddenly looked very strong and nearly took advantage as we struggled to clear a floated in free kick and then the subsequent cross back-in. A corner followed which led to a goalmouth scramble and the comforting sight of the ball being hastily cleared.  The visitors could not keep up this pressure and we responded by pushing forward strongly.  A 32nd minute long range effort from John Martin was pushed behind by Seuke, and Martin tested the visiting keeper again with a swung in corner which found the head of Jamie Stuart  who beat him from 6 yards for our 4th goal. Just before the break Lee Elam went close with a far post header which followed a good move and a cross from Purser.

In the previous round Dulwich netted four times to overcome Ramsgate, but this time they had to go one better.  The already mountainous task was made worse 6 minutes in when Jamie Stuart was the only player to react to a Scott Gooding ball into the area and slot the ball home from the edge of the area.  Three minutes later and we were 6-0 up courtesy of, some might argue, the best goal of the game. Unfortunately it was beautifully executed by Dulwich's John Wilfort as he tried to clear a Danny Shipp cross although to be fair he was under pressure from Purser.  Adie Harris came on for Simon Weatherstone just after but his appearance lasted only two minutes as he appeared to twist his knee whilst turning and left the field on a stretcher being replaced himself by Simon Wormull.  Distressing as it was it didn't put us off. A Darren Caskey shot from 18 yards in the 58th minute was spooned wide by Seuke, but it was a temporary respite as Danny Shipp poked the ball just over the line via the post from a Darren Caskey cross a minute later.  John Martin went close with 15 minutes to go when his long range effort bounced off the top of the crossbar but 5 minutes later Darren Caskey rolled a corner to the edge of the area for Simon Wormull to drive low into the net through a crowd of players.  Ashley Bayes actually had a save to make 5 minutes before the end when a great pass gave Charlie Side half a chance on the edge of the area but we completed the scoring with a couple of minutes to go Seuke could only push away an interesting back-heel effort from a Wormull pass straight to Purser who could not fail to complete his hat-trick from just inside the 6 yard area.
